When surfing to this website you are re- directed to www.malware-alarm.com. This is a clone of www.malwarealarm.com, which shows that the people who developed this, also developed, BraveSentry, PestTrap, PestCapture, DIA Remover, Spyware-Stop, Mr AntiSpy, SpySheriff , SpyTrooper and many others. Most of the sales pitch for Antispyware Shield is on www.antispyshield.com (created on 30th August 2007)
The methods of infection are: rogue codecs located on adult sites, advertisements/pop-ups telling you your machine is infected and many of the keygen/crack sites.
As with all of these rogue Anti-spyware products, you are able to scan your machine for free, find errors and purchase the software to fix these errors. On their website you are able to purchase a "Lifetime + Multiple PCs" option for a very reasonable $79.95 … hey but wait… don't be too hasty.. Keep that credit card in your pocket for a few more minutes…because it's even better if you try and navigate away from the site as they'll reduce the price to $29.95 that's a saving of $50, on top of this I can save you another $29.95 by recommending you leave the site without paying at all.
