RUNOUCE.EXE has been seen to perform the following behavior:

• The Process is packed and/or encrypted using a software packing process
• Disables the Notification Balloon for the Windows Security Center
• Disables Access to the Task Manager built into Windows
• Disables Access to the Windows Registry Editior
• Modifies Windows Security Policies to restrict/expand User Privileges on the machine
• Adds products to the system registry
• Automatically changes your firewall settings to allow itself or other programs to communicate over the internet
• Writes to another Process's Virtual Memory (Process Hijacking)
• Executes a Process
• This Process Deletes Other Processes From Disk
• Can communicate with other computer systems using HTTP protocols
• This process creates other processes on disk
• Executes Processes stored in Temporary Folders
• Adds a Registry Key (RUN) to auto start Programs on system start up
• Terminates Processes
• Uses functions commonly exploited by Worms
• Injects code into other processes
• This Process is a file infector which modifies program files to include a copy of the infection
• Drops known malicious software during execution
• The Process is polymorphic and can change its structure
• Can Send email using SMTP protocols
• This Process sends MIME Email
• Creates a hidden window which can be used to run other programs without your knowledge
• This Process Contains User Mode Rootkit Functionality and can hide itself from the running process list
• Reads your outlook address book
• Registers a Dynamic Link Library File
• Makes outbound connections to other computers using NETBIOSOUT protocols
• Found on infected systems and resists interrogation by security products
• Injects code into other processes

• Created as a process on disk
• Executed as a Process
• Has code inserted into its Virtual Memory space by other programs
• Terminated as a Process
• Executed by Internet Explorer
• Deleted as a process from disk
